Alberte Tranberg was a trade metalworker before she traveled to the USA to study as a Fulbright Scholar at the Cranbrook Academy of Art. Her works are created using traditional trade materials- galvanized steel, aluminum and in the case of the "Endings" vessels, gas pipe fittings. The material lends a substantial weight to the vessels, their curious forms coming directly from the materials used and joined together.
