Designed by Akoko Kuwahatra, Breathe is a handmade, sculptural chest of drawers that features a maple structure and a frosted glass panel of slanting stripes. A similar pattern has been cut into the sides of the wooden drawers but angled in the opposite direction. When a drawer is pulled out, this decorative device creates a fascinating, flickering visual dance as the stripes move toward and past each other. Kuwahatra is a Japanese designer based in Copenhagen.
