This L-shaped version of A.R.P.’s iconic desk design, edited by Minvielle, is the only one currently known to be on the market—a rare and important work of French modernism.
Founded by French designers Joseph-André Motte, Pierre Guariche, and Michel Mortier, Atelier de Recherches Plastiques (A.R.P) was a research lab dedicated to the development of new materials and products for the French market. The group operated circa 1953-1957 and was responsible for a number of pioneering expressions of modernist design.
